Maria Nunnenkamp Funeral Services were held 2:00 P.M., Thursday, August 10, 1989 at Pleasant View Bible Church in Aurora. Interment was held in the Aurora Cemetery. OBITUARY: Maria Nunnenkamp Maria Nunnenkamp, the daughter of Jacob and Anna (Ott) Peters, was born at Henderson, Nebraska, on October 18, 1922, and passed away at Aurora, Nebraska, on August 8, 1989, at the age of 66 years, 9 months, and 20 days. She grew up and graduated from Henderson High School, in 1941, and then attended York College, where she received her teacher's certificate. She was a school teacher at District #33 in Hamilton County for 5 years. On May 21, 1948, she was united in marriage to Harold Nunnenkamp, at Henderson. After their marriage they lived southeast of Aurora, and in 1952, moved to the present farm. Maria was a member of the Aurora Pleasant View Bible Church, and was a Sunday School teacher. She was also active in the Christian Women's Club and the Missionary Fellowship at the church. She was preceded in death by her parents and one infant brother, Abraham Peters. Those who remain to cherish her memory are her husband, Harold; 2 sons, Robert and Roger, both of Aurora; one daughter, Ruth Ann Williams, of Bismark, North Dakota; 2 brothers, Henry O. Peters of Henderson and Leonard O. Peters, of Hesston, Kansas; 2 sisters, Kathryn Couch of York and Justina Smith, of August, Kansas; 5 grandchildren and many other relatives and friends.
