Louie Roudolph Phillips was born 26 March 1910 in Arkansas, USA. He was the 8th of ten children born to George W. Phillips and Laura Matilda [Lefevre] Phillips. Louie was a twin and only weighed 2 lbs. when he was born, his twin sister Rouie was born dead. Siblings: Mary Eva [Phillips] Boydston (1889-1970), Lessie C. [Phillips] Canada (1890-1909), Rhona A. [Phillips] Yarbrough (1900-____), Dixie E. [Phillips] Wade (1902-____), Ina Unishie [Phillips] Golden (1905-1995), Henry M. Phillips (1906-1994), Rouie Phillips (1910-1910), Archie Linial Phillips (1913-1976). Louie married Hester Nancy Ann Beckett on 24 July 1930. They were the parents of 6 children: Floramae Evelyn [Phillips] Goff (1931-2007), Annie Lorean [Phillips] Shackleford (1934-2010), Retha Lee [Phillips] Moore (1937-2021), Louie George Phillips (1939-2014), Robert L. Phillips (1943-) and Louie Lee Phillips (1947-1974). Louie passed away from complications of diabetes on 24 August 1952 in Arkansas.
