Burialdate: 6/30/2006 ∼ Mrs. Dora "Jane" Breen, 76, died Friday, June 23, 2006 in Watsonville, CA. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Janet and Mark Kinder and grandchildren, Katelyn and Jack, all of Sunnyvale, and her son, Douglas Breen and daughter-in-law, Wendi Eggleston, both of Aptos. One of 15 children, she is survived by 1 brother and 5 sisters. She is preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Henry D. Breen, and her son, Ronald D. Breen, who both passed away in 2004. A native of Idabel, OK, she graduated from Wesley Nursing School in Oaklahoma City and later worked as an RN at Michael Reese Hospital in Chicago, Wheeler Hospital in Gilroy, O'Conner Hospital in San Jose, and retired in 1989 after 15 years at Watsonville Community Hospital. She was very active with the California Nursing Association and worked actively in improving nurse's benefits. She was chosen as CNA Nurse of the Year in 1989.Jane was a member of Resurrection Catholic Church in Aptos. She enjoyed her Monday evening potluck dinners with friends. She was an avid SF Giants fan, and also loved reading, traveling, and her dogs. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Resurrection Church, 7600 Soquel Drive on Friday, June 30, 2006 at 10:30 a.m. Graveside Services will follow.
