Kenneth Bruhn Funeral Services were held 10:00 A.M., Tuesday, May 24, 1988 at the Aurora United Methodist Church. Interment was held in the Grand Island City Cemetery. OBITUARY: Kenneth Bruhn Kenneth Leon Bruhn, the son of Chris and Mary (Joehnck) Bruhn, was born at Grand Island, Nebraska, on April 16, 1927, and passed away suddenly on May 20, 1988, at Aurora, Nebraska, at the age of 61 years, 1 month and 4 days. He grew up near Cairo, Nebraska, and received his education at School District #42, in Hall County, and later helped his father with the farming operation. On June 30, 1950, he was united in marriage to Jessie Williams at Grand Island. Kenneth worked as a crane operator for Claussen & Sons; and from 1958 to 1970 he worked at missle construction in several states. He was shop foreman at Ag Chem Equipment Company in Grand Island for 10 years, and since 1987 he has been employed at Bonnavilla Homes in Aurora. Kenneth was a member of the United Methodist Church in Aurora. He was preceded in death by his parents, 2 brothers and 1 sister. Those who remain to cherish his memory are his wife Jessie; 2 daughters, Barbara Nissen of Aurora and Gerri Govier of Lexington; 2 brothers, Homer of Grand Island and Done of Rosewell, New Mexico; 5 sisters, Gayle Schwieger and Mary Dickson both of Grand Island, Edna Maier of Cario, Hazel Day of Nyssa, Oregon and JoAnn Spiehs of Cairo; 4 grandchildren, Ryan, Matt, Jennifer and Jeff; and many other relatives and friends.
