OBITUARY: Springfield, MO Daily News John W. Rollings, 81, a farmer and resident of Spokane, died Monday morning in Burge Hospital, He was a member of Spokane Baptist Church and was a 17-year member of the Spokane Board of Education. The Spokane High School was constructed during his tenure as board president. He is survived by his wife, Sarah E. of the home; nine sons, John I., Jake F., Robert A., and Burl D., all of St Louis, Wlliam D. of Reedly Cal, Edward C of San Antonio, Tex., CQM Neil, USN in Shreveport, La., Leamond of Spokane, and CMM Lewis, USN of Middleton, R. I; three daughters, Mrs. Cora Saltsman of Little Rock Ark, Mrs. Rose Botolfson of Detroit Mich, and LT Betty Rollings, of the Navy Nurses Corps in Formosa, a sister, Mrs. Lizzie Palmer of Kirkwood and 18 grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 2 pm at the Spokane High School Auditorium with the Rev. Reggie Mapes officiating. Burial will be at Spokane Cemetery under the direction of Harris Funeral Home at Clever. Pallbearers will be M. O. Caldwell, W. A. White, Earl Bilyeu, Sam Billingsley, Albert Gray and Del Hammond.
