Mrs. Arch (Avis) Moorman Funeral services for Mrs. Arch (Avis) Moorman, 85, a resident of Clifton Lutheran Sunset Home, who died there at 12:45 on Nov. 14, 1989, were held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, Nov. 17, at Clifton Funeral Home, with Rev. Stephen Soulen officiating. Burial was in Clifton Cemetery. Born Bonnie Avis Richards on Dec. 18, 1903, in the Cayote community, she was the daughter of Henry Richards and Eugenia McWilliams. She attended Cayote schools and on Dec. 18, 1923 was married to Arch Moorman in Valley Mills. They had three children. She lived at the Moorman home place until 1939, moved to Fairview community until 1945, moved t Wilson, Texas, to Meridian in 1950, and then to Clifton Lutheran Sunset Home in 1987. She was a mother, wife, and homemaker and was a member of the Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Arch Moorman, who died Dec. 24, 1973. Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. J.J. (Melva) Hamilton of Ardmore, Okla.; two sons, Edward H. Moorman of Wylie and Joe Moorman of Meridian; four sisters, Hazel Handley of Clifton, Aubra McMillan of Levelland, Aleen Hogg of Yellville, Ark., and Bessie (Tinnie) Marth of Eufaula, Ala.; three brothers, Robert Richards of Morton, Burns Richards of Independence, Mo., and James Richards ofHarrison, Ark.; five grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
