Bio
Jeese F. Penton, 87, of 805-1/2 Grandview St., died Sunday morning at a local nursing home. Mr. Penton, a lifelong resident of Escambia County, was a member of the First Pentecostal Holliness Church. Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Theresa Penton of Pensacola; two daughters, Mrs. Isabelle Jones of Beulah and Mrs. Vermell Wozniak of Warrington; five sons, Alfred Penton of Beulah, Columbus Penton, Jesse Penton Jr., Alvin Penton, and Lonnie Penton, all of Pensacola; a sister, Miss Mattie Bell Penton of Beulah; 21 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday with the Rev. J.E. McGraw and the Rev. Ken Sumrall officiating. The body will be moved from Fisher-Pou Chapel to the church at 1 p.m. Tuesday. Honorary pallbearers will be James McGhee, G.L. Peaden, Toy Cook, W.R. Gay, W.H. Thomas and Riley Sapp. Active pallbearers will be A.J. Dunford, Donald Edeker, H.W. Henderson, James Lloyd, D.
