Bio
Mr Alfred A Penton, 67, of Rt. 8, Box 676W, died Tuesday morning in a local hospital. Mr. Penton was a native and lifelong resident of Pensacola. He was a member of the Baptist Church and was a retired Civil Service employee at teh Pensacola Naval Air Station. Survivors include his widow, Essie Mae Penton; three daughters, Lois Strange of Pensacola, Shirley Alldredge of Semmes, Ala. and Audrey Cannon of Andalusia, Ala.; a son, Donnie Penton of Pensacola; his mother, Theresa Penton of Pensacola; a sister, Vermell Wozniak of Pensacola; four brothers, Columbus Penton, Jesse Penton, Alvin Penton, and Lonnie Penton, all of Pensacola; seven grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Thursday in the Beulah Baptist Church with the Rev. Edgar Jackson and Rev. William E. Boles officiating. The body will be placed in the church one hour prior to the services. Burial will be in Beulah Cemetery with Fisher Pou Funeral Service directing. Avtive pallbearers will be Carl Hurst, Erwin White, Jack Folds, Gene Crowley, Roy Nesmith, and Louis Faedke. Honorary pallbearers will be John Landrum, Dick Whiddon, John Q.
