~Married Evelyn Rose Moon on October 16, 1937 William C Penton William C. Penton, 83, of Pensacola died July 11, 1996, in a local hospital. Mr. Penton was a long time resident of Pensacola. He was a member of the Brentwood United Pentecostal Church and was a former member of the First Pentecostal Church for 40 years. He was the former owner of the Roller Haven skating rink. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Evelyn. He is survived by his sons and daughter-in-law, Billy and Carolyn Penton; sons, Melvin Penton and Harley Penton; daughter and son-in-law, Bonnie and Fred Cleveland; one brother, the Rev. Lonnie Penton; 11 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren and wonderful friend Florence Steele. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at First Pentecostal Church with the Rev. Jimmy Mitchell and the Rev. Paul Welch officiating. Burial will be in Pensacola Memorial Gardens. FAITH CHAPEL FUNERAL HOME is in charge of arrangements. Pallbearers will be Terry Penton, Chuck Penton, Darren Penton, Stephen Dunn, Troy Forester and Donnie Penton. ~printed in the Pensacola News Journal~
