Bio
Mrs. Mahala M. Steagall, died at the residence near Cantonment early Sunday morning after an illness of several months. Mrs. Steagall had resided at Cantonment for the past 25 years, being a native of Lillian, Ala. She was a member of the Baptist church. She is survived by four daughters, Mrs. Agnes Nellums, Mrs. Inez Jones, Mrs. Avery Townley, all of Cantonment, and Mrs. Zely Bell Pate, Pensacola; three sons, H. A., J. W. Steagall both of Pensacola and Jesse J. Steagall, Atlanta, Ga.; two sisters, Mrs. Lucy Cooper and Miss Mattie Bell Penton of Robertsdale, Ala., one brother Jesse Penton of Pensacola, 36 grand children and 12 great grand children.
