William R. "Bill" Emanuel, 80 years, of Fremont, died Nov. 4, 2008, at his home. He was born March 10, 1928, at Webster to Matthew and Ellen (Brennan) Emanuel. He grew up in Webster and Fremont, and was a 1945 graduate of Fremont High School. Bill married Elaine L. Mihulka on Sept. 24, 1949, in Fremont. He was a partner of EPE Insurance Enterprises at Fremont. He was past president of the Fremont Chamber of Commerce, the Knights of Columbus Council 1497 of Fremont, the Fremont Life Underwriters, the Nebraska Life Leaders, Nebraska Association of Life Underwriters and the Fremont Golf Club. He was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Fremont, Knights of Columbus Council 1497 and a past Grand Knight, and member of Fr. Leo Raus Assembly 4th Degree Knights of Columbus. Bill is survived by his wife, Elaine; son, Mark (Julie) Emanuel of Atlanta, Ga.; daughters, Nancy (Doug) Leypoldt of Ralston, Sandy (Harold) Cone of Fremont, Karen Odinas of Ft. Collins, Colo.; brother, Donald (Dolores) Emanuel of Fremont; sisters Dolores Rief of Wisner and Agnes Lewis of Denver, Colo; ten grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. Funeral Mass was at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Fremont with Rev. Owen Korte officiating. Burial was held at Calvary Cemetery in Fremont.
