"Elaine L. Emanuel, 90 years, of Fremont, NE died Wednesday, April 19, 2017 at Shalimar Gardens in Fremont. Elaine was born February 16, 1927 in Schuyler, NE to Joe and Lillian (Vanicek) Mihulka. She grew up in Schuyler and was a 1944 graduate of Schuyler High School. She moved to Fremont after high school and was employed by the H.P. Law Firm. Elaine married William R. "Bill" Emanuel on September 24, 1949 in Fremont. Bill died November 4, 2008. Elaine was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Fremont and the Fremont Golf Club. She enjoyed playing Bridge, polka dancing and traveling with her husband, Bill. She is survived by son, Mark (Julie) Emanuel of Atlanta, GA; daughters, Nancy (Doug) Leypoldt of LaVista, NE, Sandra (Harold) Cone of Fremont and Karen Emanuel of Lead Hill, AR; sister, Sharon (Dick) Hoelscher of Howells, NE; brother, Vernon Mihulka of Norfolk, NE; brother-in-law, Don (Dolores) Emanuel of Fremont; 10 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband. Funeral Mass will be 10 AM, Monday, April 24, 2017 at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Fremont. Father Ron Battiato will officiate. Visitation with the family receiving friends on Sunday from 5 PM to 7 PM; with a Rosary/Vigil Service at 7 PM on Sunday, all at Moser Memorial Chapel in Fremont. Visitation will continue on Monday at church 1 hour prior to service. Burial will be at the Calvary Cemetery in Fremont. Memorials may be given to the Bill and Elaine Emanuel Endowment at Archbishop Bergan Schools." Moser Memorial Chapel, 2170 N. Somers Ave., Fremont, NE 68025.
