Bio

Fremont-Services for Mrs. Matthew (Ellen) Emanuel, 84, of 533 N. Clarkson St., will be at St. Patrick's Catholic Church. The Rev. Leo Raus will officiate. Mrs. Emanuel died Monday morning in her home. She was born April 20, 1893, in North Bend and was a lifetime resident of the area. She lived on a farm at Webster until moving to Fremont in 1941. Mrs.Emanuel was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church and the church altar society. The former Ellen Brennan, she married Matthew Emanuel June 24, 1914, at Clyde. He survives. Other survivors include sons, Lawrence, Donald and William, all of Fremont; daughters, Mrs. Leo (Dolores) Rief of Wisner, Mrs. Lyman (Agnes) Lewis of Denver, CO., Mrs. Donald (Catherine) Hageman of Fremont; 34 grandchildren; and 26 great-grandchildren. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery.
