Bio
Dan Hassell, age 84, of Palestine, Texas died September 29, 2008, at Palestine Regional Medical Center. Burial at Roselawn Park was under the direction of Bailey and Foster Funeral Home, Palestine. He was born June 8, 1924 in Anderson County to John Ed and Naomi Jones Hassell. Mr. Hassell was a life-long resident of Anderson County. He loved working in the field baling hay and raising horses. He was retired from Union Pacific Railroad. He was a member of the Antioch Baptist Church. Mr. Hassell is survived by his wife, Charlotte Jean Hassell of Palestine; a daughter, Lacey Ann Carroll and husband Dorb of Grand Prairie; three sisters; and two grandchildren.
