When Rosemary Chaney was born on February 20, 1927, in Van Zandt, Texas, her father, Homer, was 28 and her mother, Henrietta, was 28. She had three brothers and one sister. She died on February 13, 1999, in Sacramento, California, at the age of 71. Services for Rosemary Chaney, 71, Sacramento, California, formerly of Canton, are scheduled for 10 a.m. Friday, February 19, at Eubank Funeral Home Chapel, Canton, with Pastor Roy Robinson officiating. Burial will be in Haven of Memories, Canton. Ms. Chaney died February 13, 1999, in Sacramento, California. She was born February 20, 1927, in Canton to the late Homer Henry and Henrietta Wade Chaney. She grew up and graduated from high school in Canton, lived in Dallas in the early 1940's and then moved to California. She worked in civil service for the Navy Department at Terminal Island. Survivors include brothers, Raymond Chaney, Bakersfield, California, and Homer Henry Chaney, Jr., Greenville; sister, Mary Edith Weldon, Canton; two nieces, two great-nieces and several cousins.
