Edith passed away on May 13, 2018 in Winnsboro, Texas. She was born on October 16, 1924 in Edgewood, TX to Homer Henry Chaney and Henrietta Wade Chaney. Edith was married to Francis M. Weldon on April 26, 1939. Edith was a faithful member of Mineola Seventh-day Adventist Church for many years. She served on the church board, was a deaconess, song leader, soloist, and legendary cook. She is preceded in death by her parents Homer Chaney and Henrietta Wade Chaney, siblings and her husband of 57 years, Francis M. Weldon. She is survived by nieces Karen Chaney, Raylene Dawson, great nieces and nephew.
