Funeral Services for Henry Alfred Cobb have been scheduled for 2:00 PM, Tuesday, December 18, 2007 at Hayhurst Funeral Home Chapel in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma. Rev. Jason Floyd will officiate. Burial will follow at Park Grove Cemetery in Broken Arrow under the direction of Hayhurst Funeral Home. Henry Alfred Cobb was born June 13, 1924 in Coweta, Oklahoma the son of Henry Edgar and Alpha (Waters) Cobb. Henry died Wednesday, December 12, 2007 at St. Francis Hospital in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He was 83 years of age. Henry was a 1942 graduate of Broken Arrow High School, where he lived in the area all of his life. He married the former Miss Margaret Hayes on February 17, 1946 in Muskogee, Oklahoma. He served in the United States Navy in WWII from 1942-1946. He worked in Concrete Construction for Anchor Concrete for 23 years. He was a hard worker. He was a dairy farmer and never missed a day of work. He was a Golden Glove Champion Boxer, having sparred with Joe Louis and once fought in Madison Square Garden. He enjoyed his grandchildren, sitting with his wife and watching the birds. listening to gospel tapes, watching sports, being part of a Dallas Cowboys Family. He was a member of Teamsters # 523 since 1966. He attended the Assembly of God and Christian Church. Memorials may be made to the charity of your choice. He is survived by, Wife, Margaret Cobb, Broken Arrow, OK Daughters, Eva Lee and husband Jimmy Valentine, Broken Arrow, OK Peggy and husband Johnny Conner, Broken Arrow, OK Judy and husband Chet Burrows, Billings, MT Sons, Abe and wife Trish Cobb, Perkins, OK Ben and wife Tena Cobb, Windsor, CO Grandchildren, Abe II, Chelsea, Galen, Clint, Cody, Lacey, Teri, Chet Jr., Tammi, Cinamon, Brice Great Grandchildren, Isaih, Luceous, Alyson, Coletin, Ashtin, Caden, Avery, Brilie, Jacobi, Marketta, Deven Sister, Oma and brothers, Ralph and Bill. He was preceded in death by 8 brothers and sisters.
