COBB-- H.E. "Ed", born January 16, 1926 in Coweta, OK. Passed away Thursday, April 22, 1999. Ed graduated from Broken Arrow High School and received a BS degree in Mechanical Engineering from Oklahoma State University. He served in the Navy during WWII and the Korean conflict. Ed was CEO for Toklan Oil and Gas Corp. He was a member of both the International Energy Advocates and The Society of Petroleum Engineers. He was a 50 year Mason and current President of Oklahoma Methodist Manor Board of Trustees. He served on the OSU Foundation Board of Govenors, National Wrestling Hall of Fame Board of Govenors and Board of Trustees of The First United Methodist Church. Ed was preceded in death by his wife of 43 years, H. Louise Cobb, in 1992. He remarried on March 26, 1994, a high school classmate Betty Benedict. God blessed this union and they enjoyed each other's family. Ed is survived by: his children and their spouses, Patrick and Patricia Cobb of Tulsa, Victor and Melanie of Dallas, TX, and Linda and Robby Robinson of Joplin, MO; Betty's children, James Murphy, Michael Murphy, Kathleen Patrick and Mary Murphy; Ed's grandchildren, Aaron, Austin, Alex, Ian and Meredith Cobb and Robert and Mary Robinson; and Betty's grandchildren, John Patrick Murphy, James Murphy, Michael and Melissa Patrick and Summer Murphy. The family will receive friends at 10 a.m., Monday in the Harrington Garden Room at First United Methodist Church. The funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m., Monday, followed by private family committal at Memorial Park Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to First United Methodist Church, Oklahoma Methodist Manor, OSU Foundation and Green Country Hospice. Nindes Funeral Directors, Garden Chapel, 742-5556.
