Mary Josephine Harris , 94, of 313 N. Florence, died at 8 p.m. Tuesday at Riverside Manor. Graveside service will be held Thursday at 3 p.m. at Old Runnels Cemetery in Ballinger under direction of Gutierrez Funeral Chapels. Rev. James Murphy of the West Angelo Bible College will officiate. Born Mary Josephine Long on June 27, 1888 in Cottletown, TX., she was the daughter of pioneers William Laney and Laura Olive Cottle Long. Cottletown, in Bastrop County, was founded by her grandparents Zebulon Pike and Lydia Dancer Cottle. She married George Andrew Harris on July 5, 1907 in Eastland, Tx. He preceded her in death on June 17, 1958. Survivors include 2 daughters, Ann Laura Black and Josephine Inez Clay both of San Angelo; seven sons, Howard H. Harris, Wilburn Lee Harris, Archie A. Harris, Robert W. Harris all of San Angelo. Homer of Waynoka, Okla., George W. Harris of Big Spring and H.L. Harris of Maverick, Tx.; 18 grandchildren and 31 great grandchildren.
