Archie and Myrtle were divorced by 1950 as Myrtle and, son, Johnny Don were living in the home of Clayborn Cagle in Boise City, Oklahoma. Johnny was listed as a stepson. Unsure of the whereabouts of his daughter, Mary Jo's mother, Mary Robles (according to her death certificate). No other documentation could be found for her other than Mary Jo's death certificate. Archie A. Harris , 80, of San Angelo died Friday, March 10, 1995, at his residence. Graveside service will be at 2 p.m. Monday in Old Runnels Cemetery in Ballinger with Dr. David Womack of Calvary Baptist Church officiating. Arrangements are by Johnson's Funeral Home. Archie was born Feb. 1, 1915, in Hempstead to George and Mary Long. He served overseas in the Seabees during World War II. Mr. Harris married Mary Martin on May 7, 1955, in Lovington, N.M. He was retired from Texas State Highway Department. Archie was preceded in death by his wife on March 17, 1994. He was also preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Howard, Homer and George Harris; and a sister, Inez Clay. Survivors include one son, Johnny D. Harris of Victoria; two stepsons, Don Martin of Alamosa, Colo., and Thomas Earl Martin of Odessa; two granddaughters, Johnda Bednorz and Dondra Harris, both of Victoria; one great-granddaughter; four step grandchildren; three brothers, Lee Harris, Bob Harris and Pete Harris, all of San Angelo; and one sister, Ann Black of San Angelo.
