Services for Mrs. J. G. (Lydia Jane) Harris, 85, will be held at 3 p.m. today in Allen Davis Funeral Home chapel in Ballinger with burial in Old Runnels Cemetery. Mrs. Harris died at 7:30 a.m. Thursday in a Bronte nursing home. She was born Feb. 15, 1888 in Bastrop and had lived 53 years in Maverick. She had lived in Bronte the past three years. She was married to John G. Harris in 1903 in Granger. He died in 1960. Survivors include two sisters, Mrs. Mary J. Harris of San Angelo and Mrs. Sally Holmes of Downing, Calif.; a brother, A. J. "Jack" Long of San Angelo and three grandchildren.
