Source: Daily Ardmoreite, Ardmore, Oklahoma Services for Chesley Bryan "C.B." Mitchell, 64, will be at 10 a.m. Friday, April 7, 2006, at Harvey-Douglas Chapel with the Rev. John Genn officiating. Born Dec. 6, 1941, in Gene Autry, Okla., to Wilson and Laura Hudson Mitchell, he died on April 3, 2006, at the local hospital. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Sherry Fletcher; parents; a sister, Louise Smith; and a brother, Paul Mitchell. Raised in the Noble and the Oklahoma City area, he lived in Ardmore most of his life and married Debbie Lattion on July 26, 1993, in Gainesville, Texas. He enjoyed life, crossword puzzles and reading. Mr. Mitchell and his wife Debbie loved the six little hairy dogs they called their kids. C.B. was loved by many and will be deeply missed. Survivors include his wife, of the home; two sons, Keith Mitchell, Hydro, and Wesley Mitchell, Jal, N.M.; two daughters, Shelia Carter and husband, Teddy, Clinton, and Debra Sawyer and husband, Michael, Ozark Lake, Mo.; a stepson, Ricky Tetts, Artesia, N.M.; brothers, Arthur Mitchell, Overbrook, Dewayne Darter, Alverado, Texas, and Donald Mitchell, Fort Myers, Fla.; sisters, Carole Deatherage, Ardmore, Uealine Nelson, Hot Springs, Ark.; 13 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and their six hairy kids, Itty Bit, Cookie, Krickett, Margaret, Roscoe and Bubba. Honorary bearers will be Cory Lofton, Don Wilbanks, Byrl Howard, Skip McElroy, Stan Pollard and Gary McCullough.
