Source: Daily Ardmoreite Graveside rites for Lora Hudson Boyd, 81, will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Hillcrest Memorial Park with the Rev. John Genn officiating. Mrs. Boyd was born April 25, 1917, to Cal and Lilly Hudson, at Overbrook. She died May 19, 1998, in the local hospital. She had worked at a day care center in Tulsa. She had lived in Ardmore most of her life and was a member of United Pentecostal Church of Lone Grove. Survivors include sons, Paul Mitchell, Gene Autry, Authur Mitchell, Overbrook, and Donald Mitchell, Bonita Beach, Fla., Chesley Mitchell, Ardmore, and Dewayne Darter, Alvarado, Texas; daughters, Louise Smith, Carole Deathrage and Uealene Nelson, Ardmore; a brother, John Hudson, Jacksonville, Fla.; 25 grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by husbands, Wilson Mitchell, Ueal Darter and Ray Boyd. Honorary bearers will be her sons and Howard Deathrage. Griffin-Kennedy-Watts Funeral Home will direct services. ∼
