Graveside services for Odecye Louise Smith , 66, will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Hillcrest Memorial Park with Lloyd Ashley officiating. Mrs. Smith was born Nov. 23, 1935, in Dougherty to Wilson B. Mitchell and Lorna W. Hudson. She died March 14, 2002, at the local hospital. A resident of Dougherty before moving to Ardmore 54 years ago, she was a special needs teachers aide for the Ardmore School System, past secretary of the Moose Lodge and member of the Carter County Republican Women's Association. She and Floyd Smith were married on Aug. 23, 1956, at Gainesville, Texas. He preceded her in death on June 23, 2001. She is survived by six sons, James and Paul McNeil, Steve, Bill, Bob and Wilson Smith; three daughters, Paula and Karen McNeil and Susan Smith; six brothers, Paul, Arthur, Donald, Chesley and Harold Mitchell and Dwayne Darter; two sisters, Carole Deatherage and Uaelene Daerter; five grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.
