Daughter of Corneilius & Margaret Derrick Watterson. Married Pryor Legg on December 20, 1920 at Surgoinsville, Tenn. Nellie L. Watterson Legg CAMBRIDGE — Nellie L. Watterson Legg, 90, of Cambridge, died Sunday, Sept. 17, 1989, in a Weiser hospital. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 20, at Thomason Funeral Chapel, Weiser. Burial will follow in Hillcrest Cemetery, Weiser. Mrs. Legg was born June 15, 1899, at Surgoinsville, Tenn., a daughter of Corneilius and Margaret Derrick Watterson. She was reared and educated in Surgoinsville. She married P. A. Legg on Dec. 20, 1920, at Surgoinsville. They lived in Weiser, then moved to Cambridge in March of 1938. She was a member of the Cambridge Baptist Church, and the Upper Country Grange. Nellie was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She spent many happy hours tending her flower gardens. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends. Survivors include three sons, Pryor of Redmond, Ore., and Alvin and Nelbert, both of Cambridge; three daughters, Irene (Mrs. Weldon) Branch of Midvale, Carol Smith of Salem, Ore., and Terri Gheen of Ontario, Ore.; a sister, Sybil St. John of Ellensburg, Wash.; a brother, Hal Watterson of Ellensburg; 17 grand-children; 20 great-grandchildren; and a host of friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, a son and two grandsons. The family suggests that memorials may be made in her name to Memorial Hospital, 645 E. 5th, Weiser 83672; or to the Cambridge Ambulance Fund, Box 9, Cambridge 83610.
