Born the son of Stephen Glynn Carroll (1841 – 1897) and Susan Celia Bullard Carroll (1844 – 1901), he married 27 Nov 1898 in Latch, Upshur Co., Texas to Minnie A. Burcham (1878 – 1968) and their children were Anna James Claude Carroll (1901 – 1989), Clyde Wesley Carroll (1903 – 1986) and Lucy Carroll (1906 – 1980). Family lived in Fulton Co., Ark. before returning to Upshur County. Per: Ron Wade
