Daniel Sr., of Orange, passed away at Christus St. Elizabeth Hospital. He had lived in Orange for fifty five years and had worked as a machinist for AmeriPol Synpol for thirty and a half years. He was a member of the U.S. Army during WW II and was a life member of VFW Post 2775. He was an honorary member of Local 1792 and past President for nine years. He was also a life member of Sabine Area Labor Council, District 31 of IAM, American Bridge Retirees Group, and a member and officer of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Groves. He was preceded in death by his parents, Albert Fred and Minnie (Gindorf) Ognoskie; sisters, Lenora Voight, Elda Boehnemann, and Minne Mae Cacciotti; and brothers, Delmus Ognoskie, Albert Lee Ognoskie, and Lester Ognoskie. Survivors include his wife, Lorene Ognoskie; sons, Reverend Daniel Fred Ognoskie, Jr. and wife Judy, John A. Ognoskie, Paul R. Ognoskie; daughter, Dorothy Ann Restelle and husband Donald; and brother, Larry Ognoskie and wife Norma Lee. He was also survived by his grandchildren, Michelle Ognoskie, Dana Restelle Miracle, and Katie Ognoskie; step-grandson, Anthony Reeves, three great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
