Fort Bend Herald, March 17, 2014: Funeral services for Larry Johnnie Ognoskie, 82, of Needville, TX, are set for 10:00 AM Friday, March 21, 2014, at Hope Lutheran Church, 7316 Ave. C, Beasley, TX 77417, with burial following in Friedens United Church of Christ Cemetery, Beasley, TX. Visitation will be 5 - 7:00 PM Thursday, March 20, 2014, at Garmany & Carden Funeral Directors Chapel, 3103 School Street, Needville, TX 77461. Larry was born June 27, 1931, in Beasley, TX, to Albert and Minnie Gindorf Ognoskie. He died March 17, 2014, in Houston, TX. Larry spent many years performing at the Fort Bend Opera. He enjoyed his morning coffee and lottery tickets at the Beasley Truck Stop, and he enjoyed fishing and telling fish stories, but most of all, he loved spoiling his grandkids and great grandkids, never missing a game in which they were playing. Larry was preceded in death by parents; wife, Norma Lee Ognoskie; son, Jimmie Ognoskie; brothers, Delmus, Albert Lee, Dan, and Lester; sisters, Lenora Voight, Elda Boehnemann, and Minnie Mae Cacciotti. Survivors include son, Randy Ognoskie and wife, Patrice, of East Bernard; daughter-in-law, Sandra Ognoskie of Needville; grandchildren, Kyle Ognoskie and wife Meghann of Needville, Gina LaRoche and husband Denis of Fairchild, Torrey Ognoskie and wife Haley of McKinney, Cody Ognoskie of East Bernard, and Hillary Ognoskie of East Bernard; great grandchildren, Keegan Ognoskie, Madden Ognoskie, and Adeline LaRoche; sisters-in-law, Lorene Ognoskie of Orange and Lauraine Ognoskie of Needville; brother-in-law, Ralph Boehnemann of Cibola; brother and sister-in-law, Clarence and Betty Kaack of Rosenberg; and numerous nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be Kyle Ognoskie, Torrey Ognoskie, Cody Ognoskie, Denis LaRoche, William Boehnemann, and Tom Anderson.
