Donna M. Thompson Donna M. Thompson, 94, a former Elk City resident, died Monday, March 17, 2008, at the Good Samaritan Society of Parsons. She was born Oct. 15, 1913, at Grosdenor, Texas, to Charles Henry and Nellie Chollottie (Taylor) Boren. Her mother died at an early age and she was raised by her father and stepmother, Nora Lottie Boren. She grew up and attended school in Texas. Mrs. Thompson worked for many years as a seamtress in a garment factory in Dallas. She retired and moved to Elk City about 35 years ago. Her hobbies included sewing, cooking, gardening and fishing. She attended the Elk City United Methodist Church. She married Charles Ora Ele. They later divorced. She then married S.E Thompson. They later divorced. Survivors include a son, Charles Ele of Parsons; eight grandchildren, Kim Daneke of Panama City, Fla., Mark Pinales of Elk City, Jon Pinales of Independence, Rick Ele of Altamont, Maggie Ele of Williamsburg, Gene Ele, Robin Hall, both of Parsons, and Tammy Brown of Cherryvale; 14 great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; and her brothers and sisters, Louis Boren of Amarillo, Texas, Ruby HorDonna M. The service will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Elk City United Methodist Church with the Rev. Chan Loveless, pastor, officiating. Burial will be at Oak Hill Cemetery in Elk City under the direction of the Penwell-Gabel Webb and Rodrick Chapel of Independence. Friends may call from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home, where family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday. The family has suggested memorials to the Good Samaritan Society of Parsons and these may be left at the funeral home. T.
