Published in Borger News-Herald, Sunday, December 24, 1967, Page 2 DUMAS - Final rites for Charles H. Boren, 76, of Kress, former resident of Dumas and Moore County, are scheduled at 2 p.m. Tuesday from Bible Baptist Church. Officiating ministers will be Rev. Cecil D. Foster of Kress Baptist Church, and the pastor, Rev. Clarence Bishop. Burial in Dumas Cemetery will be directed by Boxwells Brothers. Boren died Friday in North Plains Hospital, Borger. He was a native of Coleman County, and lived in Kress for 16 years. A retired blacksmith, he was a member of Kress First Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife, Nora; sons, Clovis of Borger, Louis of Onida, S.D., Kozell and Vernie of Long Beach, Calif.; daughters, Mrs. Otis Hall of Sunray, Mrs. Lottie Poe and Mrs. Mandolene Lovin of Amarillo, Mrs. Murel Thompson of Jefferson, Kan., Mrs. Mattie Belle Turner of Dallas, Mrs. Rubie Hartness of Brazoria; 27 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.
