Parsons Sun (KS) - July 17, 1999 ELK CITY - Bonnie Noftsger, 61, of Elk City died Monday, May 31, 1999, at Mercy Hospital at Independence. She was born Feb. 4, 1938, near Dearing to Ora and Donna Ele. She was employed at the Kansas Army Ammunition Plant in Parsons and later at Emerson Electric in Independence. Before her death, she was employed at the Automotive Control Corporation in Independence. Mrs. Noftsger was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary in Independence. She married Billie Noftsger in 1987 at Independence. He preceded her in death. She is survived by one daughter, Kim Daneke of Topeka; three sons, Donny Loffer of Lakeside, Neb., Mark Pinales of Norton and Jon Pinales of Independence; three stepdaughters; Bobbie Joo Noftsger of Kentucky; Sandy DeVore of Elk City and Vickie Beckenholt of Longton; one stepson, Billie Joo Noftsger of Kansas City, Kan.; her mother, Donna Ele of Elk City; two brothers, Charles Ele of Parsons and Leon Ele of Coffeyville; 17 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Mrs. Noftsger was preceded in death by a stepson, Eugene Noftsger; a stepdaughter, Debbie Newman; and one grandson. The service will be at 10 a.m. Friday at the Elk City Nazarene Church with the Rev. Mike Bright officiating. Burial will be at Oak Hill Cemetery in Elk City.
