Emma Fay Martin Lile, 83, of Mount Pleasant died Tuesday, Feb. 21, 2006. Funeral services are scheduled for 4 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 23, at Calvary Baptist Church with Bro. Loyd Cashion and Bro. Ken Whitten officiating. Interment follows in Union Hill Cemetery under the direction of Bates-Cooper-Sloan Funeral Home. The family receives friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. She was born Jan. 23, 1923, in Hopkins County, the daughter of Gilbert Neeley Martin and Lilly Dale Henley Martin. She was a retired grocery clerk and a charter member of Calvary Baptist Church. She served on various benevolence and food committees. She was a member of the ladies Sunday school class at Calvary Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Henry Avon Lile, on Feb. 20, 1980; her parents; and four brothers; Jack Martin, J.A. Martin, Merle Martin and Frank Martin. She is survived by three daughters and sons-in-law, Betty and Kenneth Reese and Vivian and Jerry Martin of Mount Pleasant, and Pat and Joe Early of Paris; a son and daughter-in-law, Gary and Nancy Lile of Lindale; eight grandchildren, Chris and Laressa Reese, Cissy and Randall Proctor, Candye and Robert Dorsey, Matt Martin and Marlie Martin, all of Mount Pleasant, Joby and Korine Early of Austin, Elena and James DePree of Fort Polk, La. and Corey Lile of Lindale; 10 great-grandchildren, Matthew Reese, Braden Reese, Mackenzie Reese, Alli Proctor, Maci Dorsey, Molli Dorsey, Jagger Martin, Josh DePree, Tyler DePree and Sajean DePree; one sister, Mary Carrell of Longview; one brother and sister-in-law, Earl and Virginia Martin of Sulphur Springs; two brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Don and Eileen Lile of Newport News, Va., and Bill and Sarah Lile of Arlington; one sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Nell and Joe Pat Jordan of Pine Forest; and numerous nieces and nephews of Mount Pleasant. Pallbearers will be Chris Reese, Corey Lile, Robert Dorsey, Matt Martin, Randall Proctor and Joby Early. Honorary pallbearers are Sergeant Mat Miller and Deputy Lance Frerich. If desired, donations may be made to Children's Ministry of Calvary Baptist Church in Mount Pleasant.
