Joyce M. Albright May 8, 1936 – Jan. 27, 2023 Joyce M. Albright, of Omaha, passed away Jan. 27, 2023. She was a former concession worker for Brandeis working at Aksarben. Memorial Mass is 11 a.m., Wednesday, Feb. 1, 2023, at St. Philip Neri Catholic Church in Omaha with a lunch following in the parish hall. She is survived by her husband, Roland "Ron" Albright of Omaha; daughters, Gail Nelson of Council Bluffs, Iowa, and Janet (Fred) Wood of Mize, Mississippi; grandchildren, Jason (Buffy) Starkey, Sean Starkey, Ben (Andrea) Nelson and Tim Nelson; great-grandchildren, Analia Evans, Haskell Starkey and Callen Starkey; and nieces and nephews. Preceded by parents, Leo and Margaret (Speicher) Bures; sister, Janet Novotny; and brothers, Robert and John Bures. ∼ Joyce's obituary was added to her memorial on March 23, 2024 -----Judy Johnson ----------------------- Joyce M. Albright, age 86, of Omaha, passed away January 27, 2023 in Omaha. Joyce was born May 8, 1936 in Schuyler, Nebraska to the late Leo and Margaret (Speicher) Bures. She graduated from St. Bonaventure High School, Columbus, Nebraska in 1954. Joyce married Roland "Ron" Albright on November 23, 1954 in Columbus. They were blessed with two daughters, Gail and Janet. Joyce worked concessions for Brandeis at the Aksarben Racetrack for 10 years. She was a member of St. Philip Neri Catholic Church in Omaha. In addition to her parents, Joyce was preceded in death by her sister, Janet Novotny; brothers, Robert and John Bures. Joyce is survived by her husband of 68 years, Roland "Ron" Albright of Omaha; daughters, Gail Nelson of Council Bluffs, IA, Janet (Fred) Wood of Mize, MS; 4 grandchildren, Jason (Buffy) Starkey, Sean Starkey, Ben (Andrea) Nelson, Tim Nelson; 3 great-grandchildren, Analia Evans, Haskell Starkey, Callen Starkey; nieces and nephews. Memorial Mass, Wednesday, 11:00 a.m. St. Philip Neri Catholic Church, 8200 North 30th St. in Omaha with a lunch following in the parish hall.
