Bio

Robert died Monday, June 10, 2013 at the Columbus Community Hospital. Robert "Bob" Bures, the son of Leo and Margaret (Speicher) Bures was born April 26, 1940 at Columbus, Nebraska. Bob grew up in Columbus and graduated from St. Bonaventure High School in 1958. He served four years in the National Guard. He married Linda Amend in Columbus. Bob was employed by Nielsen's Parts Department. He later worked at Columbus Hydraulics until retiring. He enjoyed fishing, camping and outdoor activities. Bob is survived by two sisters: Joyce (Ron) Albright of Omaha, Nebraska and Janet Novotny of Clarkson, Nebraska; nieces and nephews and his dogs Annie and Bosey. He was preceded in death by his parents, grandparents, wife Linda, brother John T. Bures and brother-in-law Edwin Novotny.
