Mary Nay (Wynkoop) Young, a 65+ year resident of Garland, Texas, passed on February 28, 2022. She was born on January 27, 1930, to Rush Ivan Wynkoop and Lillie Mae (Austell) Wynkoop, in Cement, Oklahoma. Mary was a faithful member at New Liberty Baptist Church in Garland, Texas. Mary is survived by her children: Steve Young and wife Delia, Carolyn Harris, and Roy Gene Young; grandchildren: Joanie Doty and husband Michael, Susan Young, and Patricia McIntyre; 10 great-grandchildren; 12 great great-grandchildren; sisters: Leatha Kettle and husband Harry, and Leona Belle Justice and husband Paul; and sister-in-law: Ann Young. Mary is preceded in death by her loving husband, Francis Roy Young; step-son: Allen Young; 10 siblings; and parents, Rush and Lillie Wynkoop. A gathering of friends and loved ones will take place on Thursday, March 3, 2022, from 9:00 AM – 10:00 AM in the State Room at Rest Haven Funeral Home – Rockwall location. Graveside services will follow the viewing beginning at 10:00 AM in Rest Haven Memorial Park in Rockwall, Texas. Burial will follow graveside.
