Married Oct. 31, 1952 Betty Pekar, 70, of Amarillo died Wednesday, Oct. 26, 2005. Rosary will be said at 6 p.m. today in N.S. Griggs & Sons Funeral Directors Pioneer Chapel, 2615 Paramount Blvd. Mass will be at 10 a.m. Friday in St. Martin Catholic Church with the Rev. John Hickey officiating. Burial will be in Llano Cemetery. Mrs. Pekar was born July 21, 1935, in West. She was a homemaker and a member of St. Martin Catholic Church. Survivors include her husband, Louis Pekar; two sons, Louis J. Pekar of Round Rock and David Pekar of Thornton, Colo.; a daughter, Melissa Ann Nesbit of Franklin Springs, Ga.; a sister, Mary Ann Kracja of Dallas; seven grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
