Married Oct. 31, 1952 Louis Pekar, 73, of Amarillo died Friday, May 19, 2006. Rosary will be said at 6 p.m. today in N.S. Griggs & Sons Funeral Directors Pioneer Chapel, 2615 Paramount Blvd. Mass will be at 10 a.m. Monday in St. Martin Catholic Church. Burial will be in Llano Cemetery. Mr. Pekar was born Dec. 15, 1932, in Ennis. He married Betty Matus on Oct. 31, 1952. She preceded him in death on Oct. 26, 2005. He was a member of St. Martin Catholic Church. Survivors include two sons, Louis J. Pekar Jr. and wife Brenda of Round Rock and David Pekar of Thornton, Colo.; a daughter, Melissa Ann Nesbit and husband Jim of Franklin Springs, Ga.; two sisters, Edith Vita and husband Bill of Irving and Mary Ellen Bogdon and husband Peter of Forney; seven grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
