Bobbie Lee (Amick) Hill, 83, died Wednesday, January 4, 2006 in Tulia. She was born on June 5, 1922 in Whiteflat, TX to Robert & Letha Amick. She was raised in Flomot, Tx and attended school there until graduating there in 1940. She worked at the County Agent's office and the Production Credit Association in Matador before marrying Lee Roy Nelson on May 17, 1944. They had four children: Tommy, Michael, Neal and Deborah. Her husband Lee Roy was killed in Okanawa, Japan while serving in the U.S. Air Force in 1955. She later married Kirby Hammon Hill. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Tulia and worked for Huxford's Dept. Store for several years. She was preceded in death by her husbands Lee Roy(1955) & Kirby (1990); her son Tommy and her parents. Survivors include her sons; Mike Nelson of Lubbock and Neal Nelson of Amarillo, her daughter Deborah (Nelson) Ferriter of Tulia, one brother; Roy Amick of Pueblo, Colorado, one sister; Juanita Amonett of Kerrville, and six grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Friday, January 6, 2006 in the Kornerstone Funeral Directors Chapel with Rev. Charles Davenport, retired Baptist Minister, officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery under the direction of Kornerstone Funeral Directors.
