Matador Tribune  Thurs, August 26, 1948 Funeral services for the infant son of Sgt. & Mrs. Leroy Nelson of Roswell, NM were held Sunday at 3pm at the home of Mr. & Mrs. Roy Smith of Matador with Rev. Clifford Potts, Baptist pastor conducting the services. Tommy Nelson was born at Traweek Hospital Saturday evening, August 21, 1948 at 8pm and died almost immediately following his birth. Interment was made in the East Mound Cemetery under the direction of Bryan McDonald Funeral Home He is survived by his parents and his brother Michael; and his grandparents: Mr. & Mrs. R.W. Amick (Flomot) and Mrs. L.A. Nelson (Matador).
