Bio
Edith Kainer of Nada departed this life on March 13, 2021. She was born on January 18, 1931 in Nada to the late Ignac and Mary Prihoda Zbranek. She married I.G. Kainer on November 18, 1952. Edith retired from I.C. Manufacturing after 38 years of being a seamstress. Edith and I.G. enjoyed fishing, hunting and dancing. They made quite a few trips to Louisiana and a few to Las Vegas. She is survived by her loving sons Kenneth Wayne Kainer and daughter-in-law Jenice Williamson of Ganado and James "Jim" Roy Kainer of Rosenberg; doting grandchildren, Amber Whitington and husband Clyde of El Campo, Ashley Wells and husband Ryan of Sugar Land, Jessica Kainer of Tampa and Zachary Kainer and wife Lisa of Victoria; adoring great-grandchildren, Carson, Reed and Kinley Whitington, Presley and Grade Wells and Cora and Ronnie Kainer; sister Viola Kaluza and sister in law Kathryn Kainer of El Campo. Edith had a loving extended family including many nieces and nephews who enjoyed visiting, playing dominos or cards, and gathering around a potluck meal to be shared by all. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and siblings Lydia Fucik, Albina Fajkus, Ben Zbranek, Leona Shimek, Evelyn Zbranek, Robert Zbranek and another baby at birth. Visitation begins 9 a.m. Friday, March 19 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Nada with a Rosary recited at 9:30 a.m. Funeral Mass will follow at 10 a.m. at the church with burial following at St. Mary’s Cemetery. Masks will be required. Pallbearers include Rick Shimek, Bob Shimek, Ron Shimek, Mel Fajkus, Ervin Fucik, Glen Kaluza, Gary Kaluza and Darryl Kainer. Honorary pallbearers include Jerry Shimek, Zachary Kainer, Ryan Wells, Clyde Whitington and Raymond Fucik.
