Fort Bend Herald, March 4, 2021: Memorial services for Agnes Stephens of Rosenberg, will be held on Saturday, March 6, 2021, at New Covenant Fellowship Church, 1412 Brazos St. in Rosenberg at 10:00 a.m. Agnes was born on March 22, 1942 in Anton, Texas and went to be with the Lord on February 27, 2021. She is preceded in death by her parents, Louis and Albina Dubec; her beloved husband, AJ Stephens; son, David E. Vaughn; brothers, Johnny Dubec, Louis Dubec, Edward Dubec; sister, Mary Dubec Smith; brother-in-law, Hershel Hughes; stepdaughter, Beverly Stephens; and niece, Lucy Smith. She is survived by her daughter, Barbara Boettcher and husband, David; daughter, Lysa Vaughn, Sam Smith, Steven Smith and wife, Becky; stepson, Greg Stephens and wife, Wendy; sister, Helen Hughes; sister-in law, Janie Dubec; grandchildren, Kelly Boettcher, Brandon Boettcher and wife, Aimee, Hunter, Hattie, Elsie, and Micah Smith, Kristen Stephens, Cheyenne Clark, and Joshua Stephens; great-grandchildren, Derek Boettcher and Stella Boettcher. She also leaves behind nieces, nephews, and other family and friends. Agnes worked for many years as a stylist. She was well known for her talent as an award-winning artist and she served as president of the Southwest Artisan Society for many years. She was also a chairperson of the Visual Arts Department at the Fort Bend County Fair. Agnes was a family person and loved taking family vacations, especially to Galveston.
