Fort Bend Herald, January 14, 2007: Louis Christopher Dubec Jr., 63, born in Amherst, Texas, passed away Jan. 10, 2007. He was born to Albina and Louis Dubec Sr. on Sept. 7, 1943. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, Jan. 15, 2007, at Angeles Crest Funeral Chapel, with interment following at Greenlawn Memorial Park. The family will be receiving friends from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 14, 2007, at Angeles Crest Funeral Home, 722 Grillo Way in Rosenberg, with a rosary service at 7 p.m. Sunday, also at Angeles Funeral Chapel. Louis Dubec Jr. was a truck driver for Imperial Sugar for 15 years, and he also proudly served in the United States Army as a Specialist Fourth Class Mechanic in the Vietnam era. He was honorably discharged from the U.S. Army on Sept. 21, 1968. He is survived by his children, John Francis-Scott Dubec, Mary O'Brien Wetz, Mandy Elisabeth Oyugi, Albina Marie Dubec-Bowers, Kenneth Theodore Cogswell, Christopher Scott Dubec, Tracy Christine Hartmann, and Tracy Dubec. He is also survived by his sisters and brother, Helen Katherine Hughes, Mary Jane Smith, Agnes Joan Stephans, and John Mack Dubeck. He had 13 grandchildren and numerous nephews and nieces. He was preceded in death by his mother and father, Albina and Louis Dubec Sr., and his brother, Edward Michael Dubec. Services are under the direction of Angeles Crest Funeral Home in Rosenberg, 281-238-0037.
