Bio

Reba Dell Bateman Laster Kelly was the 2nd daughter and 3rd child of Henry Hatley Bateman and Ola Mae Liles Bateman. She first married Hugh Hansel "Junior" Laster, Jr. on Sep. 3, 1941 at Borger, TX, Hutchinson Co. They had 2 sons and 2 daughters. After his death she married Raymond Allen Kelly on Jun 6, 1968 in Pampa, TX, Carson Co. There were no children to this union. Jean Wallace Bateman Family History ∼ Reba Dale (Laster) Kelly, 78, died Saturday in her Shawnee home. She was born in Eastland, Texas, on Oct. 3, 1922, the daughter of Henry and Ola Mae (Lyles) Bateman. She was a graduate of Borger, Texas, High School. She was a homemaker and worked at Main Fruit Market for 21 years. Her first husband, H.H. Laster, preceded her in death. In 1968, she married Raymond A. Kelly in Pampa, Texas. She was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church. Survivors include her husband of the home; sons and daughter-in-law, Jerry and Annie Laster of Tecumseh, Johnny Laster of Shawnee and Jimmy Kelly of Shawnee; daughters and sons-in-law, Louise Franks of Amarillo, Texas, Ruby and Farley Redfield of Tecumseh, Cindy Kelly of Tecumseh and Velena and Scott Strudgeon of Moore; 15 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at Roesch-Walker Funeral Chapel. The Rev. Jeff Moore and the Rev. Glen Pence will officiate. Burial will be at Tecumseh Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Roesch-Walker Funeral Chapel. Memorials may be made to Hospice of Shawnee. {published in the Shawnee News Star July 31 2001}
