Henry Ollene "Hank" Bateman was the 1st son and 1st child of Henry Hatley Bateman and Ola Mae Liles Bateman. He married Mavis Burl Moore Bateman on Jan 18, 1936 in Brookston, TX, Lamar Co. They had 1 son and 1 daughter. Source: Obituary found in THE PARIS NEWS Sun., Mar. 28, 1993, page 14A: Hank Bateman, 75, of Gruver, died Fri., Mar. 26, in St. Anthony's Hospital in Amarillo. Services at 11 a.m. Mon., Mar. 29, at the First Baptist Church in Gruver with Rev. Larry Miller and Rev. Jeff Burress. Graveside services at 2 p.m. Tues., Mar. 30 with Fry-Gibbs Funeral Home in charge of local arrangements. A native of Canton, and a Panhandle resident for 57 years, he was a retired pumper for Texaco, and a member of the First Baptist Church in Gruver. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Mavis B. Bateman, in 1989. He married Doris Wide in Spearman on May 3, 1992. Surviving are his wife; a son, Kenneth Bateman of Godley; a daughter, Jennifer Boyd of Mena, AR; 2 stepdaughters, Vicki Adkinson of Hobbs, NM and Barbara Webb of Canadian; a sister, Reba Dell Kelly of Shawnee, OK; 5 grandchildren; 4 step-grandchildren; 2 step-great-grandchildren.
