Bio
(From obituary): "The people of Platte Center were shocked and grieved Saturday morning when the news of the sudden death of Mrs. Oran E. Foglesong, 64, a well known and former Platte Center business woman. Her death which occured early Saturday morning was a shock to her husband and family as well as her friends as she had apparently been enjoying good health. On retiring at her usual hour she remarked to her husband that she was not feeling very well but did not seem to say anything more after retiring until about 1 a.m. Mr. Foglesong heard her moan and got up to see what was troubling her, he found that she had breathed her last, presumably due to a heart attack...Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at the home here, and at 2:30 p.m. at the Baptist church. Burial will be made in the Baptist cemetery one and a half miles east of town."
