Will was the son of James Lemuel and Frances Eloise "Fannie" Logan Ross. His parents are buried in Ferguson Cemetery. He shares a stone with his wife, Anna Miller Ross, who he married 3 October 1915 in Anderson County. OBITUARY: Palestine (TX) Herald-Press, Monday, 12 November 1973: Will Eldon Ross, 78, of 712 N. Sycamore St., died in a local hospital here at 2:45 p.m. Sunday following a short illness. Funeral services will be held at 3:30 p.m. today, (Monday) in Bailey Memorial Chapel with the Rev. W. R. Miller officiating. Burial will be in Garden of Memories Cemetery in Elkhart. Pallbearers will be Harold Dixon, Seabron Teems, Jack Sims, Pete Glenn, Gilbert Kendrick and Clyde Darling. Mr. Ross was born January 7, 1895 in Anderson County to James Lemuel and Fannie Logan Ross. He retired in 1960 as a car builder for Missouri-Pacific Railroad after 34 years of service. He was a member of First Baptist Church, of the Board of Deacons, and of Railroad Carmens Lodge. He had been employed by the Bailey Funeral Home from 1960 to 1972. Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Lota Dickey and Miss Eloise Ross, both of Dallas; four grandchildren; one great-grandchild; one sister, Mrs. Lorena Wilson of Dallas, and several nieces and nephews.
