Lota was born in Anderson Co, TX to Will Eldon and Anna Miller Ross. Her parents are buried in Garden of Memories. She married Gerald Winifred Dickey. He is buried in New Addtion of Palestine City Cemetery. Their daughter, Jerry Anna Dickey Spence, is also buried in Garden of Memories. OBITUARY: Palestine (TX) Herald-Press, Monday, 31 October 1988: Services for Lota Ross Dickey, 65, of Dallas, will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Garden of Memories in Elkhart with the Rev. Weldon Morton officiating. Burial will be under the direction of Bailey & Foster Funeral Home. Mrs. Lota died Sunday at her home in Dallas. She was born March 22, 1923, in Anderson County, a daughter of Will Elton and Anna Miller Ross. She was a retired keypunch operator for Crum & Foster Insurance Corp. and a member of Munger Street United Methodist Church in Dallas. She is survived by a sister, Eloise Ross Prather of Dallas' and two grandchildren, Bill Spence and Joanna Dean, both of Palestine. Condolence calls will received from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
