Della was born in Anderson Co, TX to Lemuel James Marsten "Matt" and Frances Eloise "Fannie" Logan Ross. Her parents are buried in Ferguson Cemetery. She was residing in Mesquite, TX at the time of her death in a Dallas hospital. She is buried beside Buel C. Wilson.
