She began her journey of life in Granger, Texas as a child living on a farm with eleven brothers and sisters. She spent her life in Taylor with a loving husband of 63 years and three daughters. Helen s family was very important tho her. She thought of her three son-in-laws as her own sons. She found joy in watching her grandchildren grow up, become independent and have families of their own. Her approach to life was to give of herself and create a better place for future generations. She had a talent for inspiring enthusiasm and commitment in others and seeing the good in all those around her. Helen happily accepted even the most difficult challenges whether they were for her family of others in the community. Helen devoted numerable nights and weekends supporting just about every charitable organization in Taylor. For nearly forty years she participated in organizations such as the Catholic Daughters. The VFW Women s Auxiliary where she held several offices including president. St. Mary s Altar Society and School where she helped in establishing the school cafeteria.
