Buried with Demmie E. Hartsfield. ∼ Transcription of Obituary from The Bryan Daily Eagle, Sat., 12 April 1947 Funeral Service For M. Hartsfield Will Be Sunday Marion Hartsfield passed away at the family home, 800 North Crenshaw Street, this morning at 11 o'clock after a lingering illness. Born in Brazos county on September 19, 1888, he was 58 years of age. Funeral services will be held on Sunday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the Steep Hollow church. Rev. Charlie Bullock will officiate, assisted by Rev. Milton Maloney. Burial will be in the Steep Hollow cemetery under the direction of Bruce Funeral Home. Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Estella Hartsfield; one daughter, Mr. E. M. Jenkins, of Houston; two sons, J. C. and Melvin Hartsfield of Bryan; five sisters, Mesdames Joes Bond, W. H. Cargill, H. L. Weedon, Brooks Beal and B. A. Risinger, all of Bryan, and five brothers, C. A. Hartsfield, Elmer Bullock, Amzy Bullock, W. H. Bullock of Bryan and Tolbert Bullock of Houston.
